MoriVive: 800 mg of Moringa Leaf and Nothing Else

MoriVive — $26.90, 60 capsules, two a day. One of the simplest products we sell.

The entire ingredient list

  • Moringa oleifera leaf: 800 mg per two-capsule serving
  • Other ingredient: hypromellose vegetable capsule

That is genuinely everything. No blend, no filler, no additives, and a vegetable capsule rather than gelatin — so unlike WholeEarth, this one is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

It is also leaf, specifically. That matters — see below.

What moringa actually is

Moringa oleifera is a fast-growing tree native to parts of South Asia and now grown widely across the tropics. The leaves are eaten as a vegetable in many cuisines — this is a food plant, not an exotic extract.

That is the useful framing: moringa leaf powder is closer to dried spinach than to a pharmaceutical. 800 mg is a modest amount of a leafy green in powdered form.

Leaf versus root — the distinction that matters

This label specifies leaf, and that is the part you want.

Moringa root and root bark are a different matter. They contain compounds not present in meaningful amounts in the leaf, and they are traditionally avoided in pregnancy. Any moringa product should tell you which part of the plant it uses; ours says leaf, clearly, on the panel.

Who should not take it

  • Pregnant women. Even though this is leaf rather than root, our label directs anyone pregnant to consult a physician, and with moringa that is advice worth following rather than skimming.
  • Anyone nursing, under 18, or with a known medical condition, without asking a doctor
  • Anyone on diabetes or blood pressure medication — moringa is traditionally associated with effects on both, so it is worth a mention to whoever manages your prescriptions
  • Anyone on levothyroxine — worth raising, as with several botanicals

What the label supports, which is deliberately narrow

One claim: supports normal cell function.*

That is it. Our own product page goes further and states what the label does not establish: broader nutrient, detox, weight-loss or disease-related outcomes.

Moringa is marketed online as a "miracle tree" for an extraordinary range of things — blood sugar, cholesterol, inflammation, energy, milk supply, weight loss. None of that is supported by this label and we are not going to borrow any of it. It is a nutritious leaf in a capsule.

How to take it

Two capsules once daily, 20–30 minutes before a meal with 8 fl oz of water, or as directed by your healthcare professional. 60 capsules is a 30-day supply.

Do not exceed the recommended dose. Keep out of reach of children; store cool and dry.

If you want it alongside other botanicals

MoriVive appears in the Superfood Essentials bundle with NutraMoss and TurmericX. Worth reading the iodine note on NutraMoss and the shellfish note on TurmericX before buying all three together — each item keeps its own label and its own cautions.

*This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. All amounts quoted are taken from the approved NutraWell label.
