NutraWell's training line is three products. This is what is on each label, what the amounts mean, and where they overlap — because two of the three contain creatine and nobody tells you that.

1. The caffeine number, and why you start with one scoop
ShockFuel contains 175 mg of caffeine per scoop. The label permits two scoops — which is 350 mg, roughly three to four cups of coffee in one drink.
The label is explicit about the order of operations: begin with one scoop to assess tolerance. If one scoop is comfortable, you can consider two. Do not exceed two scoops daily. That instruction exists because caffeine tolerance varies enormously between people, and 350 mg at once is a lot for someone who does not normally drink coffee.
If you train in the evening, the caffeine is the thing to think about, not the pump.
2. ShockFuel and BuildMax both contain creatine
This is the detail that is easy to miss by reading two product pages separately:
- ShockFuel contains 1,500 mg of dicreatine malate per scoop
- BuildMax contains 5,000 mg of creatine monohydrate per scoop
Take both and you are taking creatine from two sources on the same day. That is not inherently a problem — creatine is one of the better-studied sports supplements and 5 g daily is a conventional maintenance amount — but you should know you are doing it rather than discover it later. If you are stacking them, that is a good question for a healthcare professional, especially during BuildMax's loading phase.
3. The loading phase empties the creatine fast
BuildMax's label directs one scoop in 8 oz of water or juice four times daily for the first five days, then one or two scoops daily after that.
Do the arithmetic: that is 20 scoops in the first five days, out of 50 in the container. The loading phase uses 40% of the tub in the first week. At one scoop a day afterwards, the remaining 30 scoops last a month. So the first container is about five weeks, not fifty days — plan the reorder accordingly, or follow the loading directions knowing that is the trade.
BuildMax has exactly one ingredient: creatine monohydrate. No flavour, no filler, nothing else on the panel. That is worth something when every other tub on the shelf has a proprietary blend in it.
4. The BCAA serving is half a scoop, not a scoop
NutraFuel BCAA is the easiest one to get wrong. The serving is half a scoop (6.5 g), not a full one, and it delivers:
- 4,000 mg BCAA in a 2:1:1 ratio
- 1,000 mg L-glutamine
- 2.5 mg vitamin B6 (147% DV)
A full scoop is two servings. Using a whole scoop per drink turns 45 servings into 22 and doubles the B6 — read the scoop instruction before the first use.
What the label does not tell you: the panel gives 4,000 mg for the BCAA blend as a whole and does not break out leucine, isoleucine and valine individually. "2:1:1" is the stated ratio, which implies 2,000 / 1,000 / 1,000, but the panel does not print those three numbers, so we are not going to present them as if it did.
What the 550 mg matrix is
ShockFuel includes a 550 mg "Energy / Endurance / Focus Matrix" containing L-taurine, betaine anhydrous, waxy maize, L-citrulline malate, glycocyamine, glucuronolactone and L-tyrosine.
Seven ingredients inside 550 mg. The individual amounts are not disclosed, and the split could be very uneven. Named separately on the same panel — and therefore with amounts you can actually check — are 1,500 mg dicreatine malate, 1,500 mg L-arginine AKG and 750 mg beta-alanine. Those three are where the measurable content of the formula is.
What these products claim, and what they do not
The labels support: performance, mental focus and energy for ShockFuel; muscle recovery, strength and growth for NutraFuel.* BuildMax's label makes no structure/function claim beyond being creatine monohydrate, and states plainly that individual results vary.
None of them are medicine. None of them boost immunity, treat fatigue, or do anything to a disease. If you have read otherwise on this site previously, that copy was wrong and has been corrected.
Cautions worth reading twice
- Caffeine: 175 mg per ShockFuel scoop, 350 mg at the two-scoop maximum. Not for anyone avoiding caffeine.
- All three: consult a physician before use if pregnant, nursing, under 18, or if you have a medical condition.
- Sweeteners: ShockFuel contains sucralose; NutraFuel contains sucralose and acesulfame potassium. BuildMax contains neither — it has one ingredient.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose on any of them.
*These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. All amounts quoted are taken from the approved NutraWell label proofs.
